The Middletown Select Soccer Club is happy to invite you to come and spend the weekend of Sept 22 & 23, 2012 at the 7th Annual MIDFEST SOCCER CLASSIC TOURNAMENT. The tournament will be held at Smith Park fields in Middletown. Smith park has been home to many tournaments: including the Middletown Spring Blast, SAY Franchise, State SAY and High School Tournaments.
The tournament will offer competition for boys and girls in the U-8 through U-15 brackets. All teams must be in good standing with the United States Soccer Association and only players with valid player passes will be eligible to play. A maximum of 12 players per roster for U8. U9, U10. A maximum of 14 players per roster will be allowed for U11 and U12, a maximum of 18 players for U13-U15. four(4) guest players will be allowed. U8 - U10 will play 6v6, U11 and U12 will play 8v8 all other divisions U13-U15 will play 11 v 11. This year we are offering U12 11v11 play. We will have a division if enough teams apply. Roster siz on U12 11v11 will be 18 players. No player may play on nor be registered on more than one participating team. Midfest Soccer Classic Tournament Committee reserves the right of acceptance, denial or placement of any team.
The entry fee of $400.00 for U8-U10 and $425.00 for U11-U15 per team should be mailed along with the enclosed application form to the address listed below by August 20, 2012. Teams not accepted will have their application fee returned in their notification letter. No entry fee will be returned to those teams accepted into the tournament. Notifications will be emailed and posted on the web site by September 10, 2012.
We are very proud of the Soccer facilities at Smith park in Middletown. Smith offer playgrounds, walking trails around the park, refreshment areas and with a total 24 fields for your soccer enjoyment. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping close park. Pets are allowed at Smith park but must be kept on leash. The tournament is set up on a three game format. Individual and team trophies will be awarded for first and second place teams in each division. Trophy's will be awarded after final game at the stage near the tournament headquarters.
Parking will be limited in some areas of the park, so please carpool as much as possible.
FRIDAY NIGHT TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION: Team Coach or Team Admin are required to attend Friday night check in on September 21, 2012. Check in is from 6-9 pm at the Sycamore Banquet Center at Middletown Senior Center, 3907 Central Ave. Middletown Ohio 45044
